For the 27th time, the Danish Championship for Chef of the Year and Waiter of the Year, will take place at Foodexpo
On Sunday, March 22, 10 professional chefs will compete for one of the most prestigious titles in the Danish gastronomy world: Chef of the Year. In the competition, they get the company of 5 waiters, who are competing in another honorable competition; Waiter of the Year.
The 10 chef finalists have 6 hours and 25 minutes to create a three-course menu. The menues are served to a panel of specially invited guests as well as a panel of judges. The judges evaluate the participants' creations based on a variety of criteria, including presentation and taste, and the winner is the chef, who receives the most points.
In the competetion Waiter of the Year, each of the 5 finalists are associated with 2 kitchens / chefs. The performance of the waiters is also assessed and judged by a panel of judges.
Both competitions, including the winner announcement and award ceremony, take place on Sunday, March 22 in Hall E. It is free to attend the competitions, which are held and organized by the trade association HORESTA.
